Oregon Myrtle Side Grain tables and counters are built with the edge grain of the wood facing up in parallel strips typically measuring between 3/4" and 1-1/4". Side grain construction makes a hard and stable surface. Myrtle has a color range from blonde to golden browns. Sometimes it has darker mineral staining in black or dark brown and occasionally shows curl or burl figure. Tops are made to order with cut-outs and shaping available. Staggered butt joints may be included on tops longer than 8'.
