Claro Walnut End Grain
Claro Walnut End Grain tables and counter tops are made by fusing together the end pieces of wood into an offset rectangular pattern exposing the wood rings and graining. End grain "butcher block" construction is the strongest and most durable and preferred by chefs as the tops resist cuts and marks, and cradle the knife’s edge between the end grain fibers, extending time between blade sharpening. Claro Walnut ranges in color from creamy white and light brown to dark chocolate brown. The wood develops a rich patina as it ages. The grain pattern is generally straight but can have curly grain producing attractive and decorative figuring. Tops are made to order with cut-outs, curving and shaping available.
